WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN BOOKING A FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT WITH ME
This is a question I get asked frequently. Since many photographers run their sessions in different ways, I’ve put together this guide to help you know what to expect. A photoshoot can feel stressful and overwhelming, but I'm here to make it fun and relaxing for you and your family.
First, let’s talk about your arrival. When you get to the location, I’ll be there to greet you. We’ll have a quick chat about your vision and goals for the session, and then we’ll dive right in! I always offer a mix of posed and candid shots. Each session is tailored to how your little ones are feeling. If they’re feeling nervous, I’ll bring out some fun activities to help them relax and capture some adorable moments.
Throughout the session, we’ll go through plenty of poses and prompts to capture all the images you’re hoping for! I’ll also check in with you to make sure we haven’t missed anything important or impractical that you’d like to include.If you’ve brought props or accessories, I’ll be sure to incorporate them into the session. You’re always welcome to bring your own! Just let me know ahead of time, if possible, so I can plan accordingly for the shoot.
If you've signed a model release allowing your images to be shared on social media, I may ask if I can grab a sneak peek behind-the-scenes video to share!
As we wrap up your session, I'll make sure to ask if you have any questions or need anything from me. I’ll also provide you with the timeline for when you can expect your image gallery.
